What I can do in an emergency
- Secure a damaged door, gate or fence
- Board up and make safe after storm damage
- Repair a broken door frame or lock fixings so the property can be secured
- Clear and make safe after a fallen fence or branch (small jobs)
- Emergency repairs before tenants move in or guests arrive
What I cannot do
- ×Plumbing (burst pipes, leaks, boilers)
- ×Gas work of any kind
- ×Electrical work
- ×Roofing at height
For these, I will help you find a registered tradesperson. I can then repair and redecorate afterwards.

Common questions
What counts as an emergency?
Something that makes your home insecure, unsafe or unusable and cannot wait: a broken door or window frame, a fallen fence or gate, storm damage, or a repair needed before tenants or guests arrive. If you are not sure, ask.
How much does an emergency call-out cost?
From £60 an hour with a minimum of 1 hour.
I have a burst pipe or a gas smell. What do I do?
Turn off the water at the stop tap, or if you smell gas, open windows, do not use switches, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. In danger, call 999. Then call a registered plumber or gas engineer. I can help with repairs and decorating afterwards.
